This is Fred.
He’s Barry’s very best friend.
Together, they have a special bond: Barry loves dirt and Fred loves the vegetables that grow in it. Fred is wonderfully naive in a refreshing child-like way and often stutters while sharing his insights and observations.
Interestingly, his stutter always improves when he’s talking to himself.
Fred is obsessed with the idea of becoming his most favorite being in the world: a butterfly.
